First introduced in 2018, the British designed, multi-award winning, and GB Patented (2574173) Wastewater Flow Regulator, also know as the Sewer Flow Regulator SFR for short, is a cost effective, retrofit, automated flow control device aimed at converting new or existing gravity sewers to become part of a smart sewer network.
Strategically installed in a sewer, our automated wastewater flow control valves can help reduce incidents of sewer flooding and/or the activation of CSO overflows by throttling back and/or clipping peak flows under the control of real-time level sensors, network telemetry or smart catchment models.
The solar operability and versatility of the design has already been instrumental in its adoption by several wastewater utilities, where it has helped to deliver significant time, financial and carbon savings when compared to penstock and/or civil engineering solutions.
